I must start by saying what an incredible life I have had so far. As long as I can remembermy life has moved along like a storybook. It started with both of my grandfathers French and Spanish Engineers who where contracted by the United States to assist in the design of the Panama Canal. They both settled in Panama after the canal was completed and moved their families there. My father met my mother in Panama . My parents where inseparable from the moment they met. As they grew together he became a well-known and respected member of the now growing country. His career quickly grew and he accepted the position as a Consul General in Japan. For the next thirty years he worked and ascended to be an Ambassador in the Diplomatic service. I was born while my parents served as Ambassador in India. My travels with them took me all over the world. We lived in the Far East, Europe and South America. They took me everywhere. They exposed me to art, culture and riches as well as poverty struggles and pain. They wanted me to always remember how fortunate I have been. These lessons have never left me. When their retirement came they had the world to choose from. They returned to Panama. In Panama continued my education in English speaking schools. At the time I was fluent in 4 languages. Presently I only retain fluency in Spanish and English. My high school years growing up in Panama where magical. I never wanted to leave but my future beckoned and I knew I had to go.

I came to the U.S. to study, leaving all I have ever loved and knew behind. Growing up I enjoyed drawing and creating things, but I had a special ability for building physical models. I decide to pursue the field of aviation and enrolled in an education of Aeronautical Engineering. I quickly realized that this was not the direction I needed to go. I was now sure of what I wanted to do, but could not find what it was called. One day it revealed it self and I never looked back. Industrial design. A fancy name to describe a a fascinating profession. From that point on I could have enrolled in any university; my tuition was paid in full by my parents. I chose Columbus College of Art and Design. It was not a large, fancy or glamorous university but it was warm, personal and caring. Most of my years there where not very memorable till I met someone that would change my life forever. My wife. I don’t want to say you know , when you know, but I knew. My plans of traveling the world like my parents turned into a marriage that has lasted thirty three years. Three children later my only regret is that I did not meet her sooner.

After we graduated I proceed to look for work. I freelanced in everything from toy design to automotive. Once again I took a chance and was asked to design a trade show exhibit. Mind you I had no idea what an exhibit was. I gave it a shot and it exploded into a thirty year career. Never could I have imagined where this career would take me. I never would have imagined the many wonderful places, people and projects I have encountered. The twist and turns of time in an industry no one quite understands unless you have experienced its constant evolution. I have been fortunate to have met many people who have helped me along the way. Some helped out of friendship others out of foresight but most out of respect. To them all I am grateful. As I move into the future there are new lessons to be learned, connections to be made and the evolution of my craft. My work shown on this site completes this chapter in my story. If you have been kind enough to take the time to read about me. Please let me know. I would like to hear your story.
